A good turnout of twelve MG's stayed with us lately.   Everyone had a great time and they were all off to see all the good bits of the South Island, cameras at the ready.

How true, how true.

The Springlands area of town is getting the exposure with a number of commercial business' built and open lately.

Speight's Alehouse has been open for business for nearly 12 months and is operating at full on.  We can say that the Ale House is a much needed Restaurant in the Springlands area.  The hospitality of the Hosts defines the spirit of service, culinary and surroundings unequalled in Blenheim.  We wish John and Hayley all the best with their venture.

Yes, Pak v Save has been non-stop since it opened and has been drawing lots of shoppers every day. Just 350 metres west of the Phoenix Motor Inn.

Have you driven the Molesworth road to Hanmer Springs.  This road takes you through the heart of the Molesworth Station.  The road is closed through the winter and reopens at Labour weekend till Easter weekend. Plan a trip this summer through to Hanmer Springs, stay a night or two and returns through the Rainbow Station back to Blenheim, then stay at the Phoenix Motor Inn and rest for a couple of days.  If you don't want to drive yourself organised trips can be arranged where you travel by coach there and back.

While you are here , a must visit is the Aviation Museum just 4 minutes away from the heart of the city.  This is a world class museum with a large number of flyable aircraft as well as static displays.  Adjacent to the museum is a classic car collection.  This is a "must see."

Raft the Clarence river, from the Acheron River to the sea. This is an adventure four/five day trip run by Clarence River Rafting. Adventurous enough to rival the Grand Canyon, maybe.
